Canon 5DMk2, 24mm, F9, 1/20th sec, ISO 100, no filter, processed in Lightroom.
Looking across to the big island, the real Hawaii, I watched late afternoon surfers paddling out on last light. I was under the palm trees so didn’t immediately see this shot as you see it now. I saw the incredible sunset starting and wondered how I could better the composition, rather than just an open shoreline with a setting sun. Walking back through the carpark, this image was captured between two parked pick up trucks. The final shot made me smile, knowing what was either side, just out of frame.
