I’d heard about this event years ago and just had to capture it. It took a bit of negotiation to get the server to toss the fish on my count, but he reluctantly did so. If you are wondering what you are looking at, this is the famous fish tossing at the Pike Place markets. Buy a fish and the server out the front tosses it over the counter to the man with the scales so he knows the weight and how much to charge you. Been a Seattle tradition for years.
